The Fine Print
Terms of hire.
Please read these terms before booking. They set out what to expect from your hire and what we ask of you in return.
Booking & payment
A reservation is only confirmed once full payment has been received. Prices are quoted in NZD and include GST. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking at our discretion, in which case any payment already made is refunded in full.
Hire period & return
A full-day hire runs for 24 hours from the agreed pickup or delivery time. Self-tow pickups and weekday deliveries run from 6 PM onwards (anytime on weekends). The sauna must be returned, or be accessible for collection, by the stated return time. Late returns may incur an additional day's charge.
Refundable bond
A $500 refundable security bond is charged with your hire at checkout. The bond is refunded within 3 working days of the sauna being returned clean and whole. The cost of repairing any damage or loss may be deducted from the bond, with any shortfall payable by the hirer.
Cancellations & date changes
Cancel 7 or more days before your start date for a full refund. Within 7 days, your hire is non-refundable unless we are able to re-book the days — if we do, we refund you in full. You may move your date once free of charge, subject to availability.
Weather
A drizzle won't stop the sweat. In severe weather, or where a MetService warning makes delivery or towing unsafe, we will reschedule your hire to the next available date at no cost, or refund you in full. The call is made the day prior, never on the morning of.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the sauna during the hire and agree to supervise its use, follow the safety induction provided, keep children supervised, and never use the sauna while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You will be charged for any damage or loss caused during the hire.
Self-tow pickups
Self-tow hirers must provide a tow-ball-equipped vehicle rated appropriately, a valid driver licence, and a copy of the tow vehicle's registration. You are responsible for safe towing, securing the load, and obeying all road rules while the sauna is in transit.
Liability
Sauna use involves heat exposure and carries inherent risk. You accept these risks and agree that Healthy Barrels is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the sauna, except where required by New Zealand law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms current at the time of your booking apply to that booking.
